At the close of trading on October 1st, US markets displayed mixed results as investors weighed economic data and geopolitical uncertainties. According to the JOLTS report released today, US job openning unexpectedly increased in August after two straight monthly decreases. This creates concerns about the interest rate cuts by federal reserve.
Major indices fell by few points after ending the 3rd quarter at record high. Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) fell by 173.18 points, Nasdaq Composite index(COMP) fell by 278.81 points, S&P 500 fell by 53.73 points and Russel 2000 fell by 32.93 points.
